Marv Tseu was appointed CEO of Propel Media, Inc. in April 2016. He previously held the position of President of Propel Media and Chief Operating Office of Future Ads since 2014. Mr. Tseu served as Chief Operating Officer of Exponential Interactive from June 2009 to September 2013. Exponential Interactive, Inc. is a leading global provider of advertising intelligence and digital media solutions to brand advertisers.
Mr. Tseu has served as a Managing Partner, since 2008, of Waypoint Strategies, a firm which advises companies’ boards, CEOs and management on alignment of roles, responsibilities and actions to improve corporate performance. Marv has more than 30 years of experience founding, developing and leading networking and communication companies. From his early work developing AT&T’s consumer products division, to the $1.4 billion acquisition of Internet infrastructure start-up SiteSmith which he co-founded and was CEO, Marv has demonstrated an ability to identify large markets with unmet needs and the operational savvy to build companies.
Mr. Tseu has been a member of the Board of Directors of Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE:PLT) since 1999 and serves as Chair of the Board and the Presiding Director of executive sessions. He led Plantronics’ leveraged buyout and subsequent IPO in 1994. He held various positions at Plantronics including vice president of sales and marketing, and president of subsidiary Clarity. Marv also served as executive vice president of marketing and sales at publicly traded CIDCO, Inc., a telecommunications product company and was a member of their Board of Directors.
He holds a B.A. in economics from Stanford University.
Dani serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Propel Media and serves as an In-house Analytics Guru (and “keeper of all metrics”), helps clients fully optimize, and understand the performance of their ad campaigns – while also helping Propel Media innovate effective, new ad platform products and ensuring continuous user growth from the media buying group.
She has been in the keyword targeted/DR space since before Google existed. She served on the agency, client and network sides, managing and optimizing diverse campaigns as an SEO, SEM, analytics and tracking expert. Prior to joining Propel Media, she served as Sr. Director of Web Publishing, Display and SEM at WebYES!, Director of Client Operations at Komdat GmbH, Senior SEM Manager at mylife.com and Sr. Account Manager at Yahoo! Search Marketing. She attended Fachoberschule Fuerth, Germany, for degree work in Business, Law and Administration.
David brings a strong and diverse background to the company: previously serving as a business and legal executive at DIC Entertainment, a global brand management and children’s entertainment company, and LRN, a top provider of ethics and compliance management solutions. Before that, he worked as a corporate attorney at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, CA and as a Manhattan prosecutor. He received a B.A. from Brandeis University; an M.A. in Public Policy from the Eagleton Institute of Politics; and a J.D., with honors, from Harvard Law School.
David loves to play games and do puzzles with his daughters, and to hike in Hollywood’s Runyon Canyon with his dog, Holly. On the golf circuit, he may be the only 28 handicap in Southern California who can boast two holes-in-one.
Howard is an expert in accounting for emerging public companies and in all aspects of public company financial reporting with extensive experience in IPO/APO’s, acquisitions, reverse business combinations, SPACs, due diligence, financings, derivatives, Sarbanes-Oxley, and SEC regulations.
Howard is an advisor to a broad range of investors and companies in the micro and small cap space, providing financial guidance that facilitates getting companies and their acquisition candidates ready for the rigors of public reporting.
Howard’s experience includes navigating the accounting for the many and complex ways in which micro cap companies are financed, including through straight common stock, convertible preferred stock, warrants, convertible debt and with asset-based borrowing.
Howard has over 25 years of senior financial and strategic business experience. He has experience in a wide array of industries including software development, government contracting, risk management, digital marketing, consulting, real estate development, renewable energy, winery operations and special-purpose acquisition companies.
Howard founded Financial Consulting Strategies LLC in 2004, and since, the company has been providing financial leadership and financial reporting solutions to companies throughout the United States. Under Howard’s leadership, FCS has been a real partner to its clients, providing tailored solutions that have included: due diligence, pre-audit and Form 8-K filings in support of acquisitions, preparation of Forms 10K and 10Q to meet quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements, assistance with filings to register securities and assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Before founding FCS, Howard served as the CFO of Konica, a consumer imaging company, where in addition to the typical CFO responsibilities, he led initiatives in finance & treasury, mergers & acquisitions and operations. Prior to joining Konica, Howard served in financial and tax roles at TECO Energy, a public electric utility.
Howard began his professional career in accounting with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he obtained his CPA, having earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Florida State University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
